Aberdeen finished above Rangers every season from 1979-80, too 1985-86,

Aberdeen has a share issue which attempted to raise 2 million pounds. in the 1990s. It did not acheive that much, but was the second most successful share issue to then in Scottish football, ahead of even Hearts.

Aberdeen have won the 3rd most trophies in Scotland since World War Two.

Aberdeen have in 2006 split the operations of the club, and plan to build a new stadium

Aberdeen football club, were the most northerly League club in Britain till the additions of Ross County, and Inverness, Caledonian Thistle in the 1990s.

Aberdeen has one of the nearest pitches to a golf pitch, or the coast.

Aberdeen were the only team allowed to sell alcohol, for a long time, as of their reputation for good behaviour according to some,

Aberdeen have had rivalries, with Dundee United, Dundee, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Glasgow Rangers.

Aberdeen have never played Cove Rangers, in a major competition.

Aberdeen have never been officially relegated, a record they hold in the Scottish League with the 2 Old Firms, sides, and of course the 1990s, and 2000s additions to the Scottish League, excluding Livingston, as they used to be Meadowbank. Hearts only late in the 20th Century lost that record. Dundee United, were the last of the teams, to stop being among the only permanent representives of the premier, when they went down, only the Dons, and Old Firm, share that distinction now.

Aberdeen were the only winners ever of the ECWC, to win via the preliminary round.
