Angelina Gruen is German Volleyball National player. Her parents played some volleyball. She began her career in 1990 with VC in Borbeck at a youth level of course at the start. Four years later she was appointed for the first time into the youth national team. 1996 she changed the to the Bundesligisten USC cathedral. In 1997 she made a debut with a tournament in Bremen in the A-national team. She did well and experienced her first international tournament at the age of 18 at the WM 1998 in Japan. She became a fave of the fans. Later she joined a Italian league team after winning the German League a number of times. With its new association Volley Modena won it at first attempt the Italian cup and the CEV cup. While the national team disappointed afterwards with the WM in the own country, she continued her success at association level and won with Modena the Supercup. She changed teams agaon, to Foppapedretti Bergamo. In addition with Bergamo won the CEV cup. For these achievements she received the "OSCAR del Volley". In the following two years in addition the champions League (2005) and the Italian double won (2006). Also in the national team, which qualified in the so-called "miracle of Baku" for the olympics of 2004, it provided further for positive headlines. At the WM 2006 she was again the best German player in some ways, and lay in the Scorer best, only five points behind Neslihan Darnel a best player.
