Bibiana Candelas is the daughter of Juan Antonio and Martha Ramírez, she has 2 brothers, Jorge and Luis, and one sister, Martha (who is a Volleyball middle blocker for University of Southern California's Women of Troy, and is Captain of Mexico's Women's Volleyball National Team.
She attended Preparatoria Luzac in Torreon, Mexico and Colegio Ponceño of Puerto Rico. She joined Mexico's Women's Volleyball National Team in 1997 at the fourteen. Her debut was against the Dominican Republic.
She was best blocker at the 2002 Senior Pan America Cup held in Tijuana, Mexico, while playing with the Mexican Women's Volleyball TEAM.
Candelas metriculated at The University of Southern California in 2002, and adopted a place as a full-time starter on USC's Women of Troy in 2003. That year Candelas was considered to be one of the two best middle blockers in NCAA women's volleyball and led her team to a 2003 NCAA championship. And she was named in the 2003 NCAA Volleyball best team. In 2004 she kept on getting career highs in many volleyball things, and high titals in assits, blocks, and such.
In 2005 She played for Bameso club team, and also still USC, where she got 39 pts in late 2005 against the top class side Stanford. And was named in the Conference team of All Americans.
2006 Saw USC have to see her leave the college team which meant the team got some new players. But Candelas was still set to play more volleyball.
She made school
single-season records for attacks, total points, points per game. And left USC
2nd on career hitting percentage, total points, points per game. And majored in
Communications.
In 2006 she also started to play more Beach Volleyball. playing with 5 foot 8, Paula Gentil in the Toyota Hermosa Beach Open presented by Bud Light, which they qualified for against other College players. She speaks English and Spanish.
She has played 15 World Championship games, and 85 others.
Her spike is 310 cm, and block 302 cm.
