Before 1945 Europe had famines, and wars and poverty,

After, the EU, it does not.

In Venezuela they have started subsidising food, too.

It's left wing to subsidiese, food, and right wingers want it to be part of a unfair thing.

Anyhow here is a list of some 19thC famines, but not all, for instance Life expectancy lowered in Scandinavia, and Britain to the late 19thC, and in the depression with less food, and for the rest of Europe. but less hardship.

Irish Famine 1817, 1840s, 170,000 THEN 1MILLION DEAD

Belgian famine 1840s Dutch famine, German famine,

Finnish famine 1860s, 100,000 deaths

French dearth 1817, 1831, 1848,

Switz famine, and Central Europe 1817,

Russian famine 1870s, 1894, 1894 killed 600,000, 1.2million died of famine in 1860-1899,

Russian Famine 1900s, 1000s dead,

After 1946 and European Socialism's victory malnutrion fell hugely via the cap.

Don't fall for the right wing idea that subsiding an industry destroys it. They are looking for a moral justification to be nationalist and against the EU. Farming is helped by subsidy
