The First Nations, developed many ethynic groups, along came the Inuit.

Then in the 15thC, came European discoveres.

Then in the 17thC settlements by the French in Quebec.

Scotland tried to send a small colony to Nova Scotia, in the 1620s, but this project failed. under French interferance, and the change in attitude of the joint Scottish and English king.

The French colony grew, while English settlers tried establishing bases in places like Newfoundland.

Local tribes fought small wars, and some small tribes were virtually wiped out.

The French and English colonies up here, never did anywhere near as well as the colonies of Virginia, and Massachusetts, and New York.

Even though Quebec, brought settlers from France, in quite large numbers, and even brought African slaves, executing a ladyin the early 18thC for trying to revolt against her shackles.

In the mid and late 17thC and early 18thC English, then unfied British wars saw the French begin to lose control, and tehn lost Quebec, to the British.

At this time then Britain became the only European power left in modern day 2006 Canada. With lots of tribes still holding laned up in teh west and north.

In the 19th Century colonisation increased from Scotland, Ireland and eth rest of Britain's Empire.

Many people from Scotland had to travel to Canada, in the Highland Clearances, and many had to in the Irish famine. In nowadays, some come back to these lands, on holidays,

Central plains started to be opened by railways, and Ontario, saw big uups in population, there were revolts, by Half French half First Nations, Meis, and by Liberals, and French patriot elements.

These eventually saw democarcy and a united Canada.

In teh late 19thC Liberals took more powerm, getting nmore independanmce off Britain.

In the 20thC Canada fought both World Wars, and saw Liberals dominate the politics of teh country.

With a rise in teh support of the Quebecer Nationalists, which saw them make Quebec get more independence , and hold 2 referendas, on independence , after revivibng the French language into First Posistion in their state
