Cheryl Ford
is the daughter of NBA legend Karl Malone and Bonita Ford.
She was raised though
by her mother. She has three brothers including a twin, and 4 sisters.
Ford
was a standout collegiate player at Louisiana Tech University.
Where she did
a health and physical education major at Louisiana Tech.
She went to school
at Summerfield High School, where she was a WBCA High School All-American.
The
Lady Techsters had a record of 118 - 16.

West Regional All-Tournament Team
In 2003, she was named to the Associated
Press' All-America Honorable Mention team. She was also named the Western Athletic
Conference "Player of the Year" in 2002 and 2003.
In 2003 she was
drafted as the #3 overall pick in the first round by the Detroit Shock for the
WNBA.
In just her first year in the league, she led the Shock from a worst
to first record and a WNBA championship in 2003. Afterwards, she played for the
Dallas Fury in the National Women's Basketball League (NWBL) under Coach Nancy
Lieberman.
She is also the only player to have won WNBA Rookie of the Year
Award and a WNBA championship in the same year.
In 2003-2004 off Season she
played for Dallas Fury in the NWBL.
One of only three WNBA players to average
a double-double thats (10.8 ppg., 10.4 rpg.) in 2003.
She was in the WNBA All-Star
Games: 2003, 2005, 2006
And also played as a member of the
2004 WNBA All-Star Team in an exhibition game against the 2004 USA Basketball
Senior National Team.
She has played 128 games in WNBA league matches and scored
1429 pts
Her career high in a game is like 24 pts against Charlotte on 6/22/2006
Cheryl
has also won a Bronze Medal in the 2006 FIBA World Championship, and a Bronze
in the 1998 World Youth Games
And won Won 2 Louisiana state high school championships at St. Martin's.
She enjoys painting and drawing
