Christiane Fürst is a Middle blocker, she began her volleyball club associations in 1995 with Dresdner sports.
On international level her first success was with the youth national team and she won the 2001 the olympic youth tournament. In 2003 she was nominated it without international match experience for the German national team for the EM in Turkey and reached the third place. She became a stalwart ion the team. One year later participated it after the "miracle of Baku" in the olympic plays in Sydney. At the WM 2006 in Japan she was among the best Middle Blockers despite Germany only finishing 11th.
She enjoys cinema, meeting friends, sleeping, the band Linkin Park, the Lord of the Rings, and pasta.
Her coach says she is not missing anything the World' Best middle blockers have.
She was partly inspired by a Japanese comic called “Mila Superstar” where a 12 year old girl with lung problems, then becomes a great volleyball player.
The show was shown in Germany.
