equipment
A tool with a long handle and flat metal head, used in stomping type motion to flatten ground, gravel or other type of materials, for gardening, construction, or landscaping tasks.
They often appear like a Pneumatic Drill, as they are vibratory, and held in such a manner.
They have to be designed with environmental legislation in mind, due to noise, and dust pollution.
Often they have a Direct gear drive, so the work can be done in different grades.
Like many expensive machines, they require lubrication to stop rust, and wear.
When buying you have to take into account:
Noise pollution levels, Safety of operator, Ergonomics, Price, warranty, delivery costs, Maintenance costs and services, availability of parts. Other factor do you want a dust free device.
Should you buy 2 or 4 Stroke Rammers?
Two stroke engines fire every revolution: four stroke engines fire every other revolution.
It is fact that two stroke motors are in general lighter, faster and less expensive. A Four stroke is smoother, cleaner, and has greater fuel efficiency. A Two stroke engine does not have the endurance compared to a four-stroke engine.
Having a decent air filter is a key part of the device.
The devices new, cost in the thousand pound bracket upwards.
