A new Lake suburb has been built at Lake Saylorville.

The floating island is to provide extra housing for the city of Des Moines. As we all know people do not want to waste land. So the state has built a floating city on top of the lake.

There are numerous homes that float on the lake. The plan is to cover a entire lake in the homes.

They are built of concrete. And can be anchored. It is not like a boat, as it is quite a deep and has a garden.

There are plans to build a vacation resort, much like Disney land except nothing to do with Disney land.

This means that you can get free water, and a great water view.

Des Moines is the capital of and the most populous city in the State of Iowa, United States.

Des Moines currently operates under a council-manager form of government.

Most residents of Des Moines get around the region by car. Interstate 235 cuts through the city, and Interstate 35 and Interstate 80 both pass through the Des Moines metropolitan area.
