Associated General Contractors
The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), is a voice
for contractors in the construction industry, and is an organization of qualified
construction contractors and industry related companies. Operating in partnership
with its Chapters, the association provides a full range of services concerns
of its members, toimprove the quality of construction and protect the public interest.
It is the nation's oldest and largest trade association to represent the construction industry. It was formed in 1918 following a request by the President.
It is seen as a trade group.
