A very thorough list of hillforts, the longest I have ever seen from any book, to internet site, I have used books on hillforts, and internet sites.

Hillforts is normally spelt Hill forts, but the other spelling has been used at times. I will use the Hillforts spelling as that was accepted where I studied, but it seems that the new spelling consensus is Hill forts, that seems to be a fairly new consensus, Just in case this does not stick I will use the spelling I used to use, for this article, but state this fact on spelling, as it seems to be what people should use now. It of course will vary from college to college to history group to history group for a while, and you should use the spelling of the group you are connected to to seem right there. This use of both spellings will mean people who use either of the spellings can still be finding this useful resource. I feel it is the best resource network I have found on hill forts, I say that in mid 2007, though there are great ones on just individual hill forts I am sure for interested people. There are many great books, and magazine articles on hillforts, too though and many many websites.
