Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and is one of the country's main cities, sometimes called "Dubai City" to distinguish it from the emirate. Dubai is considered to be an important tourist destination and its port, Jebel Ali, constructed in the 1970s, has the largest man-made harbor in the world. Dubai is also increasingly developing as a hub for service industries such as IT and finance, with the establishment of a new Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The government has set up industry-specific free zones throughout the city. Dubai Internet City, combined with Dubai Media City as part of TECOM (Dubai Technology, Electronic Commerce and Media Free Zone Authority) is one such enclave whose members include IT firms such as EMC Corporation, Oracle Corporation, Microsoft, and IBM, and media organisations such as MBC, CNN, Reuters and AP.

The Burj Al Arab
(In Arabic this means Tower of the Arabs) is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E). Burj Al Arab is managed by the Jumeirah Group.
Dubai Marina
The marina is entirely man made (not by one man) and has been developed by the real estate development firm Emaar Properties of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The marina will contain over 200 high-rise buildings and some supertall skyscrapers, Dubai Marina Towers, The Torch Dubai Marina, The Princess Tower, Number One Dubai Marina, Marina Terrace, Le Rêve (Dubai) and Horizon Tower to name a few, and comprise of an area of 4.9 million m², which includes the 40 residential and hotel towers of the Jumeirah Beach Residence. Upon completion, it is claimed to be the world's largest man-made marina. The current largest man-made marina in the world is Marina del Rey in California, USA.
