Antrim Castle or Massereene Castle was erected in stages between 1610 and 1666. It was destroyed in 1922 and finally demolished in the 1970s.

Carrickfergus Castle is a Norman castle in Northern Ireland, situated in the town of Carrickfergus in County Antrim, on the shore of Belfast Lough. Besieged in turn by the Scots, Irish, English and French, the castle played an important military role until 1928 and remains one of the best preserved medieval structures in the whole of Ireland.

Dunluce Castle (Dún Lios in Irish) literally translated as the Hill fort of the fairy fort is one of the most extensive ruins of a medieval castle in Northern Ireland. It is located on the edge of a basalt outcropping in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and is accessible via a bridge connecting it to the mainland. It is between Portballintrae and Portrush. The castle is dramatically surrounded by terrifyingly steep drops either side, which would have been a very important factor to the early Christians and Vikings who were drawn to this place where an early Irish fort once stood.

Kinbane Castle is situated in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, on a long, narrow limestone headland projecting into the sea, approximately 5km from Ballycastle on the road to Ballintoy. Not much of the castle remains, and the path up to it is narrow and stepped. Kinbane Castle is a State Care Historic Monument sited in the townland of Cregganboy.

Castle Upton is a castle situated in the village of Templepatrick, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. One side of the main street in the village of Templepatrick consists of the demesne wall of Castle Upton. A fortified gateway in the wall at the centre of the village leads up to the Castle itself. The core of the main house is a tower house with walls up to five feet thick, erected in 1611 by Sir Robert Norton and originally known as Castle Norton. It was purchased in 1625 by Captain Henry Upton, who became Member of Parliament for Carrickfergus in 1634 and renamed the building. The stable block is a copy of Roman style fortifications.

The principal cairns are: one on Colin mountain, near Lisburn; one on Slieve True, near Carrickfergus; and two on Colinward. The cromlechs most worthy of notice are: one near Cairngrainey, to the north-east of the old road from Belfast to Templepatrick; the large cromlech at Mount Druid, near Ballintoy; and one at the northern extremity of Islandmagee. The mounts, forts and entrenchments are very numerous.

Antrim (from the Irish: Aontroim meaning "Solitary Farm") is a town in County Antrim in the northeast of Northern Ireland, on the banks of the Six Mile Water, half a mile northeast from Lough Neagh. A battle was fought near Antrim between the English and Irish in the reign of Edward III; and in 1642 a naval engagement took place on Lough Neagh, for Viscount Massereene and Ferrard (who founded Antrim Castle in 1662) had a right to maintain a fighting fleet on the lough. During the 1798 rebellion on June 7, 1798 United Irish rebels under Henry Joy McCracken unsuccessfully attacked the town, meeting defeat in the Battle of Antrim. The county governor, Lord O'Neill, was mortally wounded in the fighting. Before the Act of Union, Antrim returned two members to parliament by virtue of letters patent granted in 1666 by Charles II. There are many buildings of historic note in the town, especially in and around High Street. The courthouse sits at the end of the street, near the Barbican Gate, the old gateway to Antrim Castle. There are also hidden gems, such as a 19th century smithy (now a shop) on Bridge Street with a distinctive horseshoe entrance. Shane's Castle and Antrim Castle. About a mile from the town is one of the most perfect of the round towers of Ireland, 93 feet high and 50 feet in circumference at the base. It stands in the grounds of Steeple, where there is also the "Witches' Stone", a prehistoric monument. There was a Castle, near the Six Mile Water, which was destroyed in a fire in 1922. All that remains is an octagonal tower. The river allowed the linen industry to be established. The linen industry has been replaced by a Technology Park, the only one in Northern Ireland. Antrim Market House is a 2–story building, nine bays long, three deep built in 1726. Formerly a Court House, it is currently vacant.

Ballycastle (from the Irish: Baile an Chaistil meaning townland of the castle) is a small town in County Antrim in Northern Ireland. The town has a beach, and views across to Rathlin Island.

Carrickfergus (from the Irish: Carraig Fhearghais meaning "Rock of Fergus") is a large town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Carrickfergus stands on the north shore of Belfast Lough and is home to the 12th century Carrickfergus Castle, one of the best-preserved Norman castles in Ireland. It was built around 1180 by John de Courcy. The church of St. Nicholas also dates from the late 12th century.

Crumlin (Irish: Cromghlinn, crooked glen) is a town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, situated near Lough Neagh 20 miles west of Belfast city centre.

Ballyclare (in Irish: Bealach Cláir, ie way or pass of the plain) is a small town in the Six Mile Valley, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the north west of the Newtownabbey borough, on the lower slopes of the Six Mile Water Valley, with Craig Hill providing a wooded backdrop to the east. Its medieval origins can still be seen in Ballyclare Motte to the south of the town. The street pattern, with its broad main street, dates back to the 18th century. A clock tower/keep is a central focus within the town and the old mill marks the industrial district on the south east developed along the Six Mile Water.

Carnlough (from the Irish: Carnlach meaning "place of cairns") is a holiday resort town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland with a picturesque harbour and on the shores of Carnlough Bay. The harbour was built by the owners of the quarries west of the village. These were connected to the harbour by means of a mineral tramway network, which include a bridge over each of two parallel streets in the village (both of which remain today).
