Kate Bauman or Katherine Pearl Bauman is a basketball player, who has played for Iowa state and the Gauchos. She is the daughter of Todd and Beverly Bauman, and has a younger brother.
She was a treble sport high school lady at The Blake School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. where Carolyn Moos also came from. Kate was also great at volleyball and track. At volleyball, she was the team's "Best Offensive Player" in 1999. She was ranked 41st across the nation for recruiters.
She tried to major in English at UCSB and wants to be a music journalist
She reads Ayn Rand, Elie Wiesel & Upton Sinclair.
She likes the doors, and "American Beauty" and "Apocalypse Now", "Friends" and VH1's "Behind the Music"
She likes the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League, and her fave atheletes are Marion Jones and Jennifer Azzi.
She averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds as a freshman at Iowa State in 2000-01 in nine game. She could not play much there as of health problems.
In 2002-2003 she just practiced with the Gauchos. As of transfer requirements.
In 2003-2004, she got Averaged 6.6 minutes per game, with a 10-point, five-rebound, two-steal effort in Feb. 7 win over Utah State. Sparained ankle in one game. A Big West All-Academic honoree. with average 3 rebounds a game.
University of California Santa Barbara Gauchos, carried on doing what they did.
She was on the roster for the 2004-2005 season
In January 2005 she scored 15 point off the bench to help the Gauchos beat Fullerton 71-47
She knew Lindsay Taylor at the Gauchos.
She graduated in 2005 with a UCSB graduate with a bachelor's degree in English
In 2006 she was on a professional Development panel, looking at how students develop their ways to succeed with some directors of drug programmes, and other things.
