Mwadi Mabika is an All-Star player in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).

She studied biology and chemistry at the Massamba School in Kinshasa. This was a prestigous school. She used to sweep the basketball court so she could play at 12, and eventually she was allowed to play at 13.

She became the best player even when in her mid teens at the junior team when most were in high teens. Some around 20.

She was five time African Champion and 5 time league MVP. in her legue in Africa.

She was brought to the United States by NBA star and fellow countryman, Dikembe Mutombo, and his brother Tshitingo Mutombo, who personally appealed to the government officials in Zaire for permission to bring her to the U.S.

She has been playing for the Los Angeles Sparks since the WNBA was formed in 1997. Mabika helped guide the Sparks to consecutive championships in 2001 and 2002.

In December 2005, she joined the female Congolese National Basket-Ball Team - known as Simba Ladies - to represent her country at the Basket Ball African Cup of Nations.

She has played 286 normal games in the WNBA and scored 3213 pts. She scored a career high of 32 points versus Portland in 2002.

She also played for Bney Yehuda in Israel in 1999-2000, and has also played in Greece.
