Nicole Ohlde is a professional basketball player.
She currently plays for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball
Association WNBA.
In her standout collegiate career at Kansas State University,
the two-time first team All American 2003, 2004 averaged 17.8 points per game.
Ohlde majored in Social Science. Kansas States all-time leading scorer 2161, rebounder
970 & shot-blocker 201.
In the 2004 WNBA Draft, she was selected by the
Minnesota Lynx in the first round sixth overall.
As rookie in 2004, Ohlde averaged
11.7 points, 5.7 rebounds & 1.8 assists per game. Remarkably consistent, she
averaged 11.2points, 5.7 rebounds & 2.3 assists per game in 2005.
In 2006,
Ohlde's production dipped to 9.6 points, 5.6 rebounds & 1.6 assists per game.
She spent most of the season playing center, rather than her natural power forward
position.
Following the 2005 season, Ohlde bought a condo in downtown Minneapolis.
She is a Two-time Gold medalist as a member of the USA Basketball World Championship for Young Women team 2003, 2002.
