Rabat Vacations
Why not take a vacation to the super city of Rabat in the north west African nation of Africa. It can be an an interesting place to have a vacation. You may want to enjoy the culture the weather the history or just other issues like going on a deal.
The city is located on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg. On the facing shore of the river lies Salé, Rabat's bedroom community. Together the two cities with Témara account for a population of 2 million. Unfortunately, silting problems have diminished the city's role as a port; however, Rabat and Salé still maintain relatively important textile, food processing and construction industries; some are from sweatshop labor by major multinational corporations.
In addition, tourism and the presence of all foreign embassies in Morocco serve to make Rabat the second most important city in the country after the larger and more economically significant Casablanca.
The Kasbah of the Udayas is a kasbah in Rabat, Morocco. It was built during the reign of the Almohads. When the Almohads had captured Rabat and destroyed the kasbah of the Almoravids in the town, they began reconstructing it in AH 544 / AD 1150. They added a palace and a mosque and named it al-Mahdiyya, after their ancestor al-Mahdi Ibn Tumart. After the death of Yaqub al-Mansur (AH 595 / AD 1199) the kasbah was deserted.
Hassan Tower or Tour Hassan s the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco. Begun in 1195 AD, the tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with the mosque, also intended to be the world's largest. In 1199, sultan Yacoub al-Mansour died, and construction on the mosque stopped. The tower only reached 44m (140ft), about half of its intended 86m height. The rest of the mosque was also left incomplete, with only the beginnings of several walls and 200 columns being constructed. The tower, made of red sandstone, along with the remains of the mosque and the modern Mausoleum of Mohammed V, forms an important historical and tourist complex in Rabat.
Stade Moulay Abdellah is a multi-use stadium in Rabat, Morocco. It is currently used mostly for football matches and it can also stage athletics.
The Rabat - Tangier expressway is an expressway in Morocco. It begins in Morocco's capital of Rabat, and connects to the northern port city of Tanger.
The Casablanca-Rabat expressway, designated A3, was the first expressway to be built in Morocco

Agdal is an urban community of Rabat, the capital of Morocco. It is a former suburb whose chief inhabitants, prior to the postwar expansion of the city, were the students of the nearby university.
Chellah, or Chella, is a necropolis and complex of ancient and medieval ruins that lie on the outskirts of Rabat, Moroccos Ville Nouvelle, or modern section. This site is the most ancient human settlement on the mouth of the Bou Regreg River.
Bibliothèque Générale et Archives is the national library of Morocco. The library is located in Rabat with a branch in Tetouan.
Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer is one of the sixteen regions of Morocco. It is situated in north western Morocco. It covers an area of 9,580 km² and has a population of 2,366,494 (2004 census). The capital is Rabat.
