A picture of Renae Maycock, and some facts about her
She is a 188 cm tall Australian Beach Volleyball Player.
Born January 21, 1980, hometown, Darwin,
She has for instance been a SASI beach volleyball
player on what is called the Australian national tour and has played on the world
tour. She also entered the Sydney 2000 Olympics in Indoor Volleyball and also
lived in the Australian Institute for Sport, Canberra for five year.
She also
works at the Office for Recreation and Sport in the Planning, Infrastructure and
Funding services, in PA work & project work in their Venues unit.
She lives
in Glenelg with 2 volleyball playing women. Sasi is a group that gives scholarships
on volleyball and lots of others sports it is the South Australian Sports Institute.
She played many games on the world level with Stacey Kloeden and Olivia Orchard, both Australians. She played the games from Indonesia, too Greece, to China, to Norway, and won over a 1000 dollars, but that was in 2003 and 2004, and now plays in Australia. She won a couple of matches on the world tour, including against Leigh-Ann Naidoo of South Africa.
She has also played in the Indonesian Volleyball League, where she played for BOGOR TUNAS HARAPAN and used her height to make them win some matches. The rest of the team were from Indonesia. This was in 2002. This was not 2 member beach Volleyball, but had more players.
In 2004 in Beach Volleyball in the Asia-Pacific Women's Beach Volleyball her and Kloeden were knocked out in the semi final
In the Sydney Olympics her Australian team lost 3-0 to the USA, and China, 3-0, they lost to Croatia 3-1, which had a world famous player at the time, Brazil, 3-0, but beat Kenya 3-1, so finished fifth in a group of 6 teams.
