Edinburgh is a city of over 400,000 people, it sits in Lothian, south of Fife.

It has been the capital of Scotland for centuries. With it having in it's possession old medieval and later areas, which still stand, on cobbled roads. It also holds Arthur's seat, which sits above the Scottish parliament. The parliament was built recently is made to be shaped like a ship.
The city ios sometimes called old reekie.
It is also famous for Edinburgh Castle which has historical siginficance of being a fiortification important in the Scottish independence wars, in revolts, and in later eras.
The city is also famous for it's large 18thC houses, built quite a bit from eth castle and old centre, which are filled with huge blocks, and wide streets, and are still palacial, on many occasions.
It is famous for Hearts and Hibs, the 2 football teams, which have a history of being the biggest clubs in Scotland, with Aberdeen, the Old Firm, and whichever Dundee side is biggest.
It is also the home of Murrayfield, the largest Rugby stadium in Scotland.
