Planet Women's Volleyball - Interesting facts

The First team to win the Women's Volleyball Gold, was Japan, in 1964 in the Tokyo Olympics. 10 of the team's members came from the same spinning mill factory. Their coach was aterrible tyrant and was head of the office supplies procurment, He used to hit, and insult, the players. He made them practice at least 6 hours a day, 51 weeks of the year. He invented a idea where aplayer dives to the ground hits the ball, rolls over, then jumps up to their feet. When North Korea wiothdraw from the event the event was almost not going to occur, so the Japanese gave the South Koreans a million yen to send a team. The Japanese almost walked to the title. They lost a game but only as the coach withdrew some players as the Soviet coach was watching so Poland was able to beat Japan. This helped the team do better against the USSR. the games got 80% of the tv viewers watch this rather than anything else.

The Soviet won Silver, the Poles Bronze.

In 1968 in Mexico City the Soviet team, was booed for a while v Czechoslovakia. but still went on to win.

In 1972 the Soviets again beat Japan into Gold, so getting Japan the 2nd Silver they had in a row, and a German Woman in this 1972 Olympics issued a suit against the Japanese coach for using inhumane methods.

1978 saw the Japanese again win the Olympics with a dominance that saw only the South Koreans able to get into double figures in a set against them,

1980 Saw the Soviets dominate the Olympics. With the East Germans taking Silver and Bulgaria 3rd.

1984 Saw China compete in the Olympics, and win Gold in the LA Games, they had won 7 out of the last 8 games before playing them in a preliminary game which they lost. Lang Ping the Chinese volleyball international saw a video screen above the match when they then met in the final that had a Gold medal on the American team, she told her team mebers and this inspired them to win in straight sets.

1933-1936, 1956, 1959, 1963, 1967: championship played with teams of Soviet republics, cities, regions

The Ural Sverdlovsk team were founded in 1966, and are the largest volleyball club in the world witgh loads of players, once defined as a basic club for the national team of Russia,

Swedish Women's Volleyball Report card, Lots of people say for their loads of attractive women statemenmts, "the Swedish women's Volleyball team " even though most probabaly have never seen them. Here is my report on them. They imagine lots of fit abba women

Sollentuna Are among the strongest teams in 2006-2007,

http://www.volleyboll.se/files/%7BFDEF049B-1504-4F9A-B52D-EC6C2BFD9BEE%7D.jpg A picture of them, maybe taken down some time, Andréa Jacobsson They inlcude this lady at 184 cm tall, most are heights in the 170s, but one is a huge Emma Berglund Lindgren 200 cm tall Who seems to have not played much, They look very good, very healthy, and a great kit, Hanna-Sofie Lundmark plays for Örebro VBS - another tea, near the top in late 2006,

who is 189 cm

The third placed team has even more 170s players, but great legs and look fit

In College I read in a student magazine The Swedish Womens Voleyball team, I think I did look it up on the internet and they were all 170s, less than the 180s of many other teams, thwere seeems to be no link to the national team,

When I typed Swedish Women's Volleyball on images, all I found was a joke photo, of some bikini models, in Sedish national colours

The bottom team Norso, is even more blonde than the rest but they have loads of 170s and 160s players, all very attractive looking women

But it seems to me the dream team is the Russian Women's Volleyball team, unlike even in parts of the 1990s, no players is under average male height for Britain or the USA, and some reach 6 foot 8 and they look great,

I had a vision of 7 7 foot blondes standing behind the world cup winners, as a Swedish Womens Volleyball team winners, towering over them, and stronger than them, amazing thought, I suppose if every land OBSSESSED ABOUT THE SPORT, AND THE WORLD GREW TO 8 BILLION PEOPLE,. AND THE EU had a team, you could have 7 Gabrielle Reece's, with them from around Europe, so able to reach that 7, but I suppose not, But with more Volleyball you will have loads of tall amazons in the game, like Kenyam, there are loads of tall women in some lands in Africa, like Rwanda, I oppose Tutsi oppression of the Hutus, which has gone on horribly and digustingly, equality for Rwandans is neeeded, Hutu rights, but think of all the tall women who could arrive from a South Sudan select, but of course it would be rubbish to ruin their own cultures just to make a few tall female volleyball teams, and what about us shorter people, what about our rights, but anyway, a Rwanda women's Volleyball team, Kenya, Ethiopia, I bet with all the tall women there, according to the Guiness Book of Records, and tallest people, you could have loads of amazingly tall women, But india, too, surely there should be as many or more than the USA, 6 foot 5 women, But also us short people matter too, The Kenyan team, has a 184 cm tall player, but many others reach to 170 cm tall, I bet they can not have searched all Kenya, forthe takkest womenm, unlike the US college system, and a good thing too, it would ruin Kenyan culture, I say, Anyway I have spent a few minutes looking up Indian basketball and have found there are complaints of too much attention on Delhi and Punjabm the players are normally in the 170s, but look tall, I bet if they had a US style system, not that it is needed they would be all 190s and 200s, Looking like great amazons, So in basketball and Volleyball one day, you could have a EU select, (Not all blonde, its just the height we are requiring, they can look like anything, but hopefully attractive, ) full of 6 5 and over women, also the same for China, India, a Africa Select the Americas the USA, and Middle East, obviously 190s tall women is not amazing if everybody rises to 190s tall,. it is only amazing if most men stay in the 170s, and low 180s, and most women in high 160s, so a world of 10 billion people in 2050, with a things like this could occur, so thats the teams in would be Africa, EU, Latin America, USA and Canada, South East Asia, Australia, NZ and Oceania, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Pakistan,. so thats 7 compeittors, with resves, entirely made up of women over 190 cm, in a world match, so 7 amazonian teams, much taller than the average male height (if it rises from maybe 174 for men, and 166 for women, for taller lands as it probabaly is now, then the heights of the amazon women can rise with that rise, so still being amazonian compared to average man, I suppose with investment in Volleyball and Basketball that could easilly happen, and just like how the 1900s Men's 100 Metres Gold medlaist would not win the 1990s Women;'s 100 Metres judging by his time, the women could be better players than the average male basketballer and volleyballer, so the tru emboiments of amazonian exitment playing in a competition, watched by loads, so that is that amazing thought of mine, what an atsnoshing thing to watch that would be, loads of amazons, I suppose if there was a system in place that could even happen today or any time, even middle ages, selects from each continent much much taller than the average man, and stronger, too,
