Two Bulgarian Sisters who play Beach Volleyball

Born Bulgaria,
The two Beach Volleyball players were brought up in Sofia, the capital of the Republic of Bulgaria. There father pushes them into volleyball, when young, he was a good rower and skier.
Both girls were about their present heights at 14.
Lina's volleyballl prowess won a scholarship to the University of Idaho in 1992. Petia went to the USA in 1996.
Lina's graduation saw her move into Beach Volleyball, and San Diego, where she was close to the centre of Beach Volleyball, and where her sister was.
Petia won back to back titles in Volleyball at USD. The University of San Diego
Their parents won a green card in 1998 and moved to the USA. They know manage a apartment complex in San Diego.
Petia the younger sister was hoping to play in Indoor Volleyball, but when she saw her sister who loved the freedom of the Beach game, play at a World Championship in LA in 1997, she switched to this competition. This pleased both as now they could go into the Olympics as a Bulgarian team.
They played in the 2000 Olympics just after Petia had graduated from USD. In the first round they played the only other sisterhood team in that circuit where they as the first Republic of Bulgarian team in the Beach Volleyball Olympic tournament won 17-15.
They finished 17th in the Tournament overall, they had been playing Beach Volleyball for only 2 years though.
They like to exploit the fact they have a bond, some say they aim at the weaker player, to make them bicker while they remain united.
For 2004, they improved themselves again trying get into the Olympics before then, by upping their rankings. The younger sister says she sometimes likes to be told what to do by her older sister,
The sister act has seen each partner win over 100,000 Dollrs in their Volleyball careers. Each have won together 3 Tournaments. 1 in 2000, 2 in 2005.
At the 2004 Olympics they performed strongly and finished 9th.
