Loch Ness Monster - Nessie

The most famous Scottish man/woman in my opinion as a Scottish man.
If he was from any other nation he would be their most famous creature.

The Loch Ness Monster is a mysterious and unidentified animal, that is known (or not known) to inhabit Scotland's Loch Ness, the largest freshwater lake in Great Britain by volume. Along with Bigfoot and the Abominable Snowman, the Loch Ness Monster is one of the best known mysteries of cryptozoology. Most scientists and other experts find current evidence supporting the animal "unpersuasive", and regard the occasional reports of sightings as hoaxes. However, belief in the animal persists among many people around the world, with the most popular theory being that it is a type of plesiosaur.

The city of Inverness is best known city in the area of Loch Ness

The most common description of Nessie, based on eyewitness accounts, is that of a plesiosaur, a long necked aquatic reptile that became extinct during the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event. In defence of this theory, supporters cite survival of a fish called the coelacanth, which was thought to be extinct but was later found.

In 2007 it was reported sightings a year were down to single figures compared to the normal rate of often numbers over 10 a year.

The monster in popular culture is a super celebrity it is on the A++ list, it is red carpet, big trailer territory

Loch Ness (Scottish Gaelic: Loch Nis) is a large, deep freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands (57°18'N 4°27'W) extending for approximately 37 km (23 miles) southwest of the city Inverness. The Loch's surface is 15.8 metres (52 feet) above sea level.

Loch Ness is the largest body of water on the geologic fault known as the Great Glen, which runs from Inverness in the north to Fort William in the south. The Caledonian Canal, which links the sea at either end of the Great Glen, uses Loch Ness.

Brilliant Idea: Look here so to go on a Monster Hunt by Loch Ness, there are many cottages by Loch Ness, to try and be one of the at times double figure numbers total of people who claim to see Nessie a year
