Akgul Amanmuradova is a professional female tennis player from Uzbekistan. As of August 6, 2007, she is 106th in the WTA rankings, her highest ranking to date.
In 2005, she reached her first ever WTA singles final in Tashkent, the capital of her home country. In the final she lost to 16-year old Michaëlla Krajicek of the Netherlands.

She says her name fast, and says it should be said smoothly. The 6 foot 3 lady can hit balls easilly at over 100 MPH.
She is annoyed when people think she is from Pakistan, as she is from Uzbekistan. She hopes to have a good car and good house possibly from tennis, and speaks, Uzbek, English and Russian. She could have played basketball but chose tennis when deciding at Tashkent State University where she did economics.
She considers herself a bit egotistical at times.
She is now the tallest lady on the tour at times.
She likes soccer and basketball.
