Born November 28, 1972 in Hamburg, Germany, or Thessaloniki in the Republic of Greece, depending on different sources, Greek sources say she was born in Greece,
Anastasia Kelesidou is a retired Greek discus thrower best known for winning silver medals at the 2000 & 2004 Summer Olympics. During her career she set seven Greek records in discus throw, the best being 67.70 metres.
Her only international victory came at the 1997 Mediterranean Games. She can throw far more than most men can.
