Cruises from California
Many tourists m,ay want to cruise the state coast or rivers or lakes of California to see the coast of the state or they may want to cruise from California to somewhere else. Many want to cruise around the state on a boat perhaps an ocean liner seeing the famous coastal regions seeing to coastal towns and cities and coastal wildlife.
Some tourists may want a vacation in the state to see the culture, the entertainment, the history, the tourist attractions, the theme parks, cities and towns in the state. Some may want to the scenery of the state or the culture.
California is a state on the West Coast of the USA, along the Pacific Ocean. It is bordered by Oregon to the north, Nevada to the east, Arizona to the southeast, and to the south the Mexican state of Baja California. California is the most populous USA state.
The area known as Alta California was colonized by the Spanish Empire beginning in the late 18th century. It and the rest of Mexico became an independent republic in 1821. In 1846 California broke away from Mexico, and after the Mexican-American War, Mexico ceded California to the United States. California became the 31st state admitted to the United States on September 9, 1850.

The Central Coast is an area of California, United States, roughly spanning the area between the Monterey Bay and Point Conception. It extends through Santa Cruz County, San Benito County, Monterey County, San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County, and parts of western Ventura County. The central coast area was originally inhabited by Chumash and other Native American people since at least 10,000 BC. Many of these settlements were coastal, where the people exploited marine resources and dwelt near freshwater inflows to the Pacific Ocean. For example there were significant settlements near the mouth of Morro Creek and Los Osos Creek.
Pebble Beach is a small coastal unincorporated community in Monterey County, California. Best known as a resort destination, the area is home to the famous golf course, Pebble Beach Golf Links.

There is some overlap between South Bay and adjacent areas such as the San Francisco Peninsula and the East Bay area. For example, Palo Alto and Mountain View could be considered to be South Bay or Peninsula, depending on context. Similarly, Milpitas and Fremont could be considered either South Bay or East Bay.
The North Bay is a subregion of the San Francisco Bay Area, in California, United States. It is by far the least populous and least urbanized part of the Bay Area. It consists of Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and Solano counties. It is, unusually for a major metropolitan area, still highly agricultural in character. The internationally famous California wine country (primarily consisting of growing areas in Sonoma County and the Napa Valley) is located in the North Bay. The region's largest city, Santa Rosa, is situated on the Santa Rosa Plain in the heart of Sonoma County. Historically, the area is also known for dairy farming. Although the growth of the wine industry has slowly edged out some of the dairy industry, it is still common to see cows grazing on the hillsides of Sonoma County in particular. Solano County is the notable exception to this pattern, with exurban development occurring at a rapid pace on former pastureland surrounding Vacaville and Fairfield. The growth of these two cities is largely a function of their proximity to both San Francisco and Sacramento, although some North Bay residents commute all the way to San Mateo or Santa Clara counties.
The East Bay is a subregion of the San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States and comprises Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. It lies on the eastern shores of the San Francisco Bay and San Pablo Bay and is generally considered to include not just the shorefront cities but the nearby inland valleys located on the east side of the Berkeley Hills.
San Francisco Bay's eastern shore was once known as Contra Costa (literally opposite coast), a name now used for and exclusively associated with Contra Costa County, which occupies the East Bay shoreline's northern quarter and extensive inland areas, amounting to about half of the land area, with the remainder in Alameda County.
Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains of the United States. It is located along the border between California and Nevada, west of Carson City, Nevada. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America. Its depth is 1,645 ft making it America's second-deepest.
