Map of the second last stage
You start off in the popular tourist resort in the Alps, of St Azier, which many people travel to every year. it is a bit like other Alpine tourist and ski resorts.
But you then head off past brilliant mountains too finish in the town of Mont Grand, in some ways like Grenoble, but also laden with challets and much smaller.
It is not exactly to scale this stage map.

This is a list of all the hard points in the stage
First of all you leave the town, and pass the edge of the valley and reach the top of a small 240 (1) metres high point, which needs a gentle climb to THE top, but essentially a climb. Then it is down hill through a valley of tourist villages and towns, and then up again, up a 540 (2) metres high mountain. Then down into some scenic areas of some farms, then along some good rural roads, across a gorge, and then up a high mountain, thats a 800 (3) metre point mountain. Now you are in areas of forests as you have reached the bottom of that mountain, You go along some rural farms land, past a lake, passing a small climb and down of 500 metres above sea level, (4) and then up a 1300 metres (5) above sea level mountain, though it is just a bad a climb as the last one. Then it is down hill, into a remote area of the Alps. Then it up again, to a 500 metre mountain (6) above sea level, this is a steep climb, and hard , then a gentle climb to 520 metres above sea level (7). Then you climb again and reach 700 metres above sea level. (8) You are then down hil again, In some high lands, of sheep, and long views. reaching a very small, but hard 700 metres climb above sea level (9) You then start the worst climb of the day, a climb to 1800 metres above sea level the (10) highest point of the tour this year. Then its down hill and alonmg the valley and into the town of Mont Grand (11). The race is 200 miles long.
Some may find the climbs unrealsitic but it is the year and with the bikes being done. but still very very hard.
