Many want to have aflat in the city of London. Many want to have flat to live there or have a vacation there. You may want a long or short term apartment rent. You may want a large flat or a small flat. You may want a flat that can offer great views or great facilities. You may want a high status flat or a flat that is cheaper.

West London is the area of Greater London to the west of Central London. Although it is only ambiguously defined, it is one of the most economically active areas of London outside of the centre, containing significant amounts of office space along with Heathrow Airport and many of its associated businesses.
Definitions of this area are generally unofficial and can vary considerably, but generally include districts around the M4 motorway corridor. The inner London boroughs of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham and the outer London boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow and Hillingdon are most commonly associated with West London. For strategic purposes such as planning, the more northerly boroughs of Brent and Harrow may also be included, although in everyday usage they would probably be considered either as part of North London or as a distinct sector, North West London.

South London is the southern part of London, England. The area it covers is defined differently for a range of purposes.

North London is the part of Greater London that is north of the River Thames. This includes most of the historic central areas including the City, the East End and the West End; and the majority of the London Underground network. This area is made up of the City of London and the London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Enfield, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Haringey, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, and Westminster. This definition is used by the Boundary Commission for England. The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames includes sections on both sides of the River Thames. The boundary commission class the entire district as part of South London. In 1965 Camden, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Tower Hamlets and Westminster were designated Inner London boroughs and Barking and Dagenham, Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest were designated Outer London boroughs.

East London is the name commonly given to the north eastern part of London, England on the north side of the River Thames.

The London boroughs that make up this informal area are Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

The term Central London refers to the districts of London, England which are considered closest to the centre. There is no conventional definition, nor any official one, for the entire area that can be called central London. Central London covers about 10 square miles on both areas of north-south River Thames. Central London can be split into three main sections, the City, the West End, and South Bank. The South Bank stretches over the river from these regions.
