Gabrielle Reece was born in California, but spent her first years living in the US Virgin Islands, on St Thomas.
Her mother is a American lady who is 6 foot 2 and a half, and her father died when she was young, and was from Trinidad.
By 5 years old she already 5 feet tall.
Her family then moved to Flordia, and she started playing volleyball.
Gabrielle played volleyball at hgh school, and got a athletics scholarship to Florida State University in 1987, majoring in Communications.
She actually preffered basketball for a while in High school, but got her major in volleyball. essentially.
She led the league she played in in university in kills a few times, and blocks once.
She started to do model work before leaving university. in Shape, Women's Sports & Fitness, Outside, ELLE, and Life.
By 2001 this meant she needed 10,000 dollars a day for a photo shoot.
Later writing a book called Big Girl in the Middle.
She married a surfer in 1997, and has a daughter
She became a millionaire by the age of 25- and apparently was never all that ambitious.
And is apparently strong, with men sometimes intimdated by how hard she can hit the ball.
She eats 9 egg whites a day..
By 1988 she would model 6 months a year, and play volleyball at FSU for the rest. as a Lady Seminole
At the age of 20, she was named All Southeastern Conference middle blocker and remains FSU's all-time leader in blocks.
From 1992 she started to play Beach Volleyball, where she performed badly at the start apparently it is simpler, but more dem,nading physically.
At 21 still with not much money,
Ain in 1993 she was offered the chance to go on a volleyball league of 4 players per team.
She was best offensive player in 1994 and 1995, a league she competed in to 1997.
And picked up endorsements for Nike on a major level,
Reece, has body fat of only 15 percent and can leg-press 1,170 pounds
She started doing 2 person International Volleyball from 1999,
From 2002 she started doing Golf reporting.
She has been compared to an amazon.
She was in the People's 50 most beutiful people list.
Some called her daddy long legs when she was young.
She says “I don't think of the images as sexual, they're more a statement that a woman can be really powerful, really feminine, really natural and really confident and just put it out there".
And she even in the late 1990s, despiet never doing much in any Olympics, was in many British papers, as of her looks, and stunning statuesque physique, and tanned feminine strong looking body.
APPARENTLy can bench press a 225 lbs, weights, and also with a 90 or 180 lb barbell, cranked it in her strong arms across her shoulders, about 5 times, with no difficulty, in one hand, apparently most men could not do that, I could not, and apparently can lift individual dumb-bells easier than most men aswell
In 1997 she, Annett Davis, Johnson Jordan and Stephanie Cox won the 4 person FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships.

In movies, Reece played the supporting role of a physical trainer in the film Gattaca (1997) and a pro beach volleyball player in "Cloud Nine" with Bert Reynolds (2004). She has also guest starred on the television shows "North Shore" (2004) and "8 Simple Rules" on ABC (2005), and has appeared as a guest on Extreme Makeover Home Edition and "America's Next Top Model" and the "Tyra Banks Show".
In 2007, Gaberielle, along with her husband Laird Hamilton, appeared in the ABC reality television series Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race, featuring a dozen celebrities in a stock car racing competition. In the first round of competition, Reece matched up against the former NFL coach Bill Cowher and the actor William Shatner.
In 2008, she released "Gabrielle Reece: Fit & Healthy Prenatal Workouts" with exercise guru Mike Monroe to bring expectant moms a safe and effective workout regimen for the first 6 months of pregnancy.
For 2008, Reece is the spokeswoman for Simply Nutrilite, a line developed by Quixtar.
She still lives healthily, and trains, and has appeared in the past on programmes showing healthy living, eating and exersize.
