Hawaii Vacation Condo

Why not go on vacation to the great state of Hawaii. It can be super place to get a condo with often great weather often great views and often a great culture. The culture can often be quite independent of the rest of the USA. With it's surfing culture it is quite innovative too.

This state encompasses nearly the entire volcanic Hawaiian Island chain, which is made up of hundreds of islands spread over 1,500 miles. At the southeastern end of the archipelago, the eight main islands are (from the northwest to southeast) Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, La-nai, Kahoolawe, Maui, and Hawaii. The last is by far the largest, and is often called the " Big Island " or "Big Isle" to avoid confusion with the state as a whole. This archipelago is physiographically and ethnologically part of the Polynesian subregion of Oceania.

Local climates vary considerably on each island, grossly divisible into windward (Ko?olau) and leeward (Kona) areas based upon location relative to the higher mountains. Windward sides face the Northeast Trades and receive much more rainfall; leeward sides are drier and sunnier, with less rain and less cloud cover. This fact is utilized by the tourist industry, which concentrates resorts on sunny leeward coasts.

Hawaiian architecture is a distinctive style of architectural arts developed and employed primarily in the Hawaiian Islands of the present day United States — buildings and various other structures indicative of the people of Hawaii and the environment and culture in which they live. Though based on imported Western styles, unique Hawaiian traits make Hawaiian architectural styles stand alone against other styles. Hawaiian architecture reflects the history of the islands from antiquity through the kingdom era, from its territorial years to statehood and beyond.

Now the state capital, Honolulu is located along the southeast coast of Oahu. The previous capital was Lahaina, Maui. Some major towns are Hilo, Ka-ne'ohe (Ka-neohe), Kailua, Pearl City, Waipahu, Kahului, Kailua-Kona, Kihei (Ki-hei), and Lihue (Li-hue).
