Where you need to go, if you are interested in the Yeti

The Himalayas are a zone full of holiday material. and there are many things to do in the land. Many people go to the Himalayas to climb mountains and to test themselves on the terrain. Some go for the experience. Some go to this area to see the large cities and culture. Some go to Kathmandu, or to Gangtok, or Thimphu. Each of these areas have tourist boards which are hopeful for people to come and see a sort of culture which still has parts that seem exotic to outsiders. There are also the Tibetan lands, with the vast near wilderness, Some like to go treking across Nepal, and some like to just visit it's capital and see monasteries, and temples, or the culture, as it is different. There are many other things to do in Nepal and Bhutan and Tibet and Sikkim too, for instance ski-ing, walking, running, canoeing, bird watching, listening to local music, visting local bars, going on car rides, seeing local museums, art galleries, and more. Some may go fishing at times, some may go kite flying. Wildlife spotting will also interest some, and of course some may have a tiny feeling they could be the first to spot the yeti.

There are many airlines and tourist groups operating tours and flights to these lands, with China opening up and allowing in more tourism to Tibet. Many people have visited the lands, and many still do. The tours are very popular, especially climbing ones in Nepal. People also like to test the food here, some also the clothes, architecture, and sports and games. Some may even visit a library to see what they are like here.

So there are many things to do in Nepal, from seeing different languages in newspapers, to different radio, tv and cinema, and Tibet's candles and yaks, and different society .

Some may go as they were sinpired by a book, tv programme or others told them it would be great to go there. There are many exotic reasons for going to these lands.

Nepali holiday mags at times show the temples with unusual animal models outside that they have in their colourful looking ways, or plush homes people will be staying in, or people in local costume just to show the culture is different, or the incredible landscape. It may be interesting to have a tv programme that shows what all the world's lands put on the front of their tourist mags, just to see what people think of them, and are attracted by. Most country's ones will be influenced by many desires, maybe a movie, or just saying this is a sunny place.
