Koester and Denise Johns were victorius in the 2003 AVP Next National Championships, which won them places for 4 big 2004 draws. As of good results she only needed to be on 1 qualifying tourney in 2005.
Janelle went to the University of Connecticut and was a Oppoiste Hitter there. In one match Jenelle Koester got 18 kills in no errors for 21 tries at this and this was among NCAA records. Koester got picked for the 3 all-Big East selects, then in 98 won the award of being a AVCA all-district choice. Koester is still her side's all time top for the stats on kills, plus rates among their best ten for blocks, figs, hitting percent & aces. Jenelle graduated via her degree in Human Development - Services & Counseling.
She was raised in Indiana in a town of 250 people called Beason, she says that she was only 3 students in her school class which focussed on sport. She was doing 6 days a week on volleyball, for 3 hours a day and had a coach who focussed on ball control. She moved to California, without a job offer after Conneticut, and moved from Indoor Volleyball in college, to Beach Volleyball, on the West Coast. She likes Get it Poppin - Fat Joe & Nelly. In her Volleyball career of 2002-2008. she has won over 30000 Dollars. The players she has played most commonly with include Denise Johns, and Courtney Guerra, plus Stacy Rouwenhorst. Her best finish was with 5 foot 10 1968 born Pat Keller , and another with Stacy. She has played some AVP tourneys in Florida.
