Jobs in New York are just fantastic ideas. The City
of New York, the State of New York,l and the Metro area of Nw York, cover a large
area and there are many jobs here. New York is a city with many jobs, indeed some
people work in many jobs, on TV I have seen there are many jobs, Seinfeld was
a comedian, Elaine a corrector of writings, she'd have her hands full with a job
correcting my stuyff, and she was a prose writer, George was a real estate guy,
and a office worker, and a front office guy at his baseball team in the Yankee
Stadium, with the New York yankees. Kramer worked as a cinema phone guy. And Numan
as a post man. Also Seinfelds dad a s a raincota slaesman, Costanzas as a computer
seller, well there were many jobs, in Fireinds they had office jobs, and in Taxi
they were Taxi drivers. In other progs like that Dan Akroyd one, there were police
men, city guys trading stuff, habitutual criminals, in working girl office workers,
big time businessmen, and also lots of other jobs. In some movies there areactors
in New York, like a Drefyuss one, and in others there are writers like Woody Allen
and TV people. Also in some movies there are people who jobs like book shops,
and in the movie Tax Driver taxis again,. Also Ghostbusters, thats a job, some
have in the City of New York, also train drivers in the underground system. Also
in some programmes there are people in the newspaper industry, and there are so
many jobs then. I suppose ibn the early 19th Century it was Chicago and New York
who were the major US cities, with places lik Pittsburgh and Phildalephia and
Washington much smaller, but now some places in Texas, like Houston and Dallas,
are gaining as of oil, and Sanm FRancisoco the major California city is still
growing but LA is gainign allot, and also some Florida cities like Miami and Las
Vegas and Seattle. The metropolitan area of New York City, also called Greater
New York or Greater New York City is defined by the U.S. Census as the New York-Northern
New Jersey-Long Island, NY-NJ-CT Metropolitan Statistical Area based on broad
social and economic integration, which is divided into four Metropolitan Divisions.
The Census also defines a wider New York-Newark-Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT Combined
Statistical Area based more specifically on commuting patterns. The total population
of the New York Metropolitan Area is 21,199,865 (as of 2000). It is the single
largest metropolitan area in America and has grown generally quickly, growing
9.4% since the 1990 census. The metropolitan area includes New York City, most
of northern New Jersey, nine counties in New York State, southwestern Connecticut,
and a small part of Pennsylvania which is not in the New York City area itself.
North Western New Jersy, New York State and PA are in an area known as the tri-state
because the three states meet at that PA county. This is the only reason for PA
to (sometimes) be included in a non-local, broader definiton of the NYC area,
usually from those outside of the Tri-State (NY,NJ & CT) area. The New York
City Tri-State area is centered around New York City and includes those areas
within a half to one hour commute. This is roughly the same as any city's metro
are in any given state, but the east cost and NYC geography as well as it's enormous
size makes NJ and CT a part of the NYC metro area with New York City as its main
hub. As with other metropolitan areas, the actual definition is nowhere near as
exact. Greater New York is actually based on two urban core : New York city and
Newark (Hudson and Essex county, NJ). New York city's near suburbs are Long Island
and Westchester, while Newark suburbs are Bergen, Passaic and Morris county. Surrounding
these counties are the outer suburbs, or peripherical counties. * Dutchess County,
