Maja is a Slovenian volleyball player. She lived when she was young in the North East of that country but around the turn of the century went to Hawaii for college and volleyball. Her father died partly as of the 10 day war Slovenia had with Yugoslavia. She is very interested in spiritual books, and took a course of a major in Liberal Studies in university. Where she is studying "Through Understanding Religion to Peace" as her chosen course, and how people can accomplish things in non-violent ways. She admires people like Gandhi. She has played at the national level for the Slovenia Volleyball side. She is a vegetarian, and meditates it seems by the yoga posistions for a hour in the morning. The tall lady also likes going to yoga retreats. People say that she is very serene. She likes the Hawaiian national anthem.
She also speaks, Slovene, Serbo-Croatian, German and English.
She likes, reading spiritual books, and yoga, partly as she finds it beneficial.
Her greatest volleyball successes include being in the Slovenian national team; being the co WAC Freshman of 2000, leading the conference by hitting and becoming the 14th Rainbow Wahine via 1,000 volleyball kills.
She is a 1998 grad of the High School of Economics of Maribor, Slovenia
While in Slovenia she also played for 3 years for Infondbranik Maribor, where she aided them in winning 3 Slovenian cups, 2 of them, while being with their under 18 team.
She had a had a season best of 8 blocks plus 6 kills V Stanford for the NCAA Championships semi final in 2002
She has had to miss some games at times as of fractures in her long body.
One day she had a car accident and then played her best volleyball game the next day. Some other players say she helps the team with some talks, and such. She also has a brother. and liks gymnastics and the colour yellow. Somebody said it would be great if she ruled the world, as of her positive attitude and nice attitude.
In 2006 Maja Gustin & Tanja Nikolic played the fellow tall blonde Karin Lundquist and Chasity Nobriga in a volleyball competition in Hawaii. Tanja was her room mate, herself a 6 foot tall lady from Croatia. The Hawaiian team has produced loads of tall female volleyball players, like California, and you would think of these sunny places as having loads of healthy women to play volleyball. I think. Choosing the tall ones for this sport as of the, being better suited to this one but not all sports. it seems..
