Financial astrology
Financial astrology is the practice of relating movements space bodies such as the planet Pluto to events in financial markets.
Financial astrology can be applied in the following ways:
1. Predict economic trends as they relate to cycles, specifically cycles of outer planets
2. Helping an investor find a sector to be in for a period of time based on planetary configurations
3. Identifying the date and time to buy or sell stock.
4. Identifying stocks to own during a period
The practice carries an implicit belief astrology is valid and influences human behaviour. Although the idea is regarded in mainstream Western thought sees it as having no logical basis, advocates of the efficient markets hypothesis would make the claim with respect to technical analysis.
Some
claim it is no better than buing shares on gut instinct.
