Waterloo is a major railway station in London, England. It is located in the Borough of Lambeth, near to the South Bank. The complex comprises four linked railway stations and a bus station. From 14 November 2007, after the Channel Tunnel Rail Link is completed, Eurostar trains will terminate at St Pancras station making Waterloo International redundant..
Eurostar established a dominant share of the market on the routes it serves, 68%
for London-Paris and 63% for London-Brussels, as of November 2004.
Options being considered include converting it to offices and a shopping centre or converting it for use by South West Trains for its long distance services to Weymouth and other regional routes. This would, however, involve considerable remodelling and reconstruction of the rail approaches to the station, and while South West Trains supports in principle the use of the terminal for its own services after Eurostar has left it, the costs associated with this option are a significant deterrent. Waterloo International station adjoins Waterloo mainline station and has its own two-level concourse and train shed. It is the London terminus for Eurostar trains to Belgium and France.
It was built in the early 1990s at a cost of £130 million to a design by the architects Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners. The station was widely praised for its architecture, and won a variety of awards on its opening in 1994. Its most impressive feature is a 400 m-long glass canopy consisting of 37 prismatic, three-pinned bowstring arches of varying spans,
The Gare du Nord (meaning Northern Station) is one of the six large terminus stations of the SNCF's main line network in Paris. It offers connections with several urban transportation lines (Paris Metro and RER). By number of travellers (around 180 million per year), it is the busiest SNCF station

London Heathrow Airport, often referred to as Heathrow, is the third busiest airport in the world, after Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Chicago O'Hare. Heathrow, however, handles more international passengers than any other airport. Heathrow is the UK's busiest and best connected airport, as well as being Europe's largest. The airport is located at the southern end of the London Borough of Hillingdon, 15 miles (24 km) west of Charing Cross in Central London. It has two parallel main runways running east-west
Heathrow is situated at the edge of Greater London. It is surrounded by built up areas to the north (Harlington, and Cranford), to the east (Hounslow and Hatton), and south (East Bedfont and Stanwell). To the west the M25 motorway separates the airport from Colnbrook in Berkshire.
