Bar Refaeli was born on June the 4th 1985 and is an Israeli fashion model. She was raised on a horse ranch in the rural Israeli and started modeling aged 11. At the 15 she began modeling for fashion catalogues, such as Castro and Pilpel, and starred in a commercial for Milki. Refaeli won the title "Model of the Year" in a beauty contest in 2000, and in 2001 won the same title again. She was chosen to be the home model of the Renuar fashion network and appeared in the summer 2002 and winter 2003 catalogues. In addition, Refaeli was cast for fashion production abroad, among them Dim and also appeared in the French ELLE magazine. She is the 1st Israel model ever to be featured in a Sports Illustrated magazine. She appeared on the front cover of the March 2006 issue of GQ Italy. She secretly got married in her native Israel to avoid military service. Israeli women aged between 18 and 20 are obliged to serve unless they’re orthodox, disabled or married. She has dated Hollywood American actor Leonardo DiCaprio since 2006.
