Secretary of State for Scotland and Secretary for Scotland
From 1885 - 1926 Scotland had a secretary for Scotland appointed by the British PM. From 1926 this job was increased in status to the British cabinet position of "Secretary of State for Scotland" This is still appointed by the British PM. It is important to point out the British PM is voted for accross the whole of the UK including Scotland and is often a Scot.
