Petra Glaser is a star player and top scorer for the California State University Long Beach. In Germany there is a lot of hope for her in the future. As a child she was passionate swimmer, only at the age of 12 did she join basketball as of a advert in newspapers. Above all tall girls were looked for. Thus Petra began in 1993 with her association for local club Chemnitz where she became a good player. Her talent saw her associated to national team coaches. Petra went quick into the Under 16 international team, to their first international employments. Also in the U18 and U20 the respective coaches of the national team built on the young Player. In October 1999 - after her first season in the first federal league she followed into the A-cadre of the national team. She had her first employment in it however only in 18.11.2000 in a friendship game against Belgium in Namur. Meanwhile she equipped with a good central distance and throwing that can show in 25 international matches and 120 points in them. To the Abitur 2000 Petra changed her country of location. Together with Linda Fröhlich she then played for a while in the USA at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. There the player tied to its great lines from the DBBL. Before she had had a crucial portion of the third place of the BG Chemnitz in the year 2000. In her first college season 2000/2001 one selected the German in the USA as the "Rookie OF the Year" (10.9 points on average) and to "defensive Player OF the Year". Also off the sport Petra made a good figure, so that the student took some honors for her university record.. After two years Petra changed in the year 2002 to the California State University Long Beach. She was a service provider at that team. In the season, 03/04 the player stood on the average 31.1 minute on the field and was with 13,5 points and 5.2 Rebounds on average of the Topscorer of the team. Similarly good values in the Vorsaison were decisive for the fact that the lady in 2003 was selected for the Big west Second team select. Petra was characterised also in the season 04/05 in Long Beach by Bests. With a point cut of 12,1 per play and on the average 7.0 Rebounds it was not only very successful, but its large dream seemed to seizes near. The WNBA became attentive towards her. More exactly the club Connecticut Sun, which nominated her for the coming season (summer 2005) . The large jump into the team did not succeed to it unfortunately nevertheless. But time at college at the "Bachelor OF Science Business administration international Business" was not huge, as in , summer 2005 she had to prepare already for the European championship in Turkey before.
For a while in 2006 she was
in a Swdish Basketball team's squad.
