Rivers have been the basis of many of the ancient civilisations.As of their size, they could become teh centres of the most populous areas.
China's 2 great rivers, were the centre of it's society,
Many nation's capitals are on their largest rivers.
Rivers, fill nation's with great views, and tourist attractions.
Famous stories abound with Rivers. Jesus, famous Hindu Gods, and many characters, in religon are associated with rivers.
The River Ganges is key to many Hindu's religous principles.
Wars over the Rhine, were at teh centre of French foreign policy in the 17th Century, helping cause long term, some wars.
Rivers divide counties, and can unite countries, and are world's of fishes, and boats.

Here is a smaller river, than some mentioned in page 1, but it slides through this valley, seeing life in the valley centred, in term,s of settlemesnt around it.
So we have rivers, the centre of society, in many ways, and of humanity.
River boats, pirannhas, fishers flopping, bridges, and ferries,. and floods, make rivers have stories.
The Nile River, is loaded with them,
Places with plenty of rivers,. saw civilisatiion start, I.E Egypt, Iraq, and China, India, Cambodia, and Thailand.
But lets think, California, the richest and most liberal US
state, even if it has elected a tough guy, right wing guy, a bizarre right wing
thing to so, as governor, and Sacramento, is not that famed for rivers, even if
its does have the Colorado, so now places can be rich even without that many rivers
via other ways.
