So oceans are boring are they, well here is a statement for you,

The Sargasso Sea, is a sea, possibly discovered by Columbus. His ships sailed trhrough a sea of algae, inm the Middle of the North West Atlantic.

Also the Maelstrom, a whirlpool off Norway, the largest on Earth. Moskstraumen
The maelstrom is many 100s of metres wide, and between itself and an island. The whirlpool, bubbles, and can pull boats apart or over. People used to watch it in the past. For instance some people used to watch it It is 4-5Km wide. It has sunk ships. Chinese floating isles. Off the coast of China, there are a group of isles, supposedly brought by turtle3s able to have a long life thing. In reality they do not exist, but off the coast every so often isles, wich are mirages appear.

Sea spirits or whatever they are called water tornadoes sometimes appear above the seas of Earth.

Hurricanes, sometimes churn on the ocean, ruining many places.

High waves, waves can rock against cliffs many feet high, in some places 60 feet high.

Fog, Fog has covered up entire places and isles, the foggiest places include Jan Mayen.

Flat seas, some seas can be flat, very flat, like a lake, but not that flat.
