In this game you are Sherlock Holmes, and you are returning to Dartmoor, with Dr Watson
This game is lossly based on the style and ways of what most people say was the greatest of the stories to do with him. Except I shall add on a new make believe map, and bring in some of the other characters, as of course it would be silly to have exactly the same storyline, as that game would be so easy to solve.
But the general moves of the story are Doylian
So here is how the game starts,
You are in Baker Street with Dr Watson, and hear the news, some years after you last visited the home of the Baskervilles, that more dogs have been found in another mansion of some relatives they have, This older legend has more substantial evidence about wild dogs stalking the moor. Indeed most people know feel the idea was collected from this place.

14 people have gone missing since late last year, in the surrounding area, up on the normal level of 4 a year plus many sheep. Of which many are explained away by the rational, of having been falling into bogs, And 4 people have been found as dead bodies, and 2 as just having escaped from what they saw in the hedges aside them.
What they said to be, dogs or big cats maybe as big as anywhere between a sheep or a lion, who knows they say.
So now the local hill farmers, and moorsmen and mansion dwellers, and even the village 10 km away respect what Holmes di on the area the other side of the Moor, but in this estate on the other side of Dartmoor, it is felt, that there are probably dogs here after all.
The rational owner of the estate who married into the local Baskervilles, says that the creature is probabaly a myth, and that the bogs probabaly explain what has happened.
You could say that Dr Watson forgot to write down this case in his journals, just as he did for many cases, even if this was one of his best occasions.
Anyhow, you and Watson, travel by train, to the nearest station, then go by stagecoach, on the hard treck, to this most remote part of Dartmoor, and most remote part of Britain, more remote in my story, as of the geography of Dartmoor, in it, than even Yorkshire, the Highlands, or the Islands of Scotland.
As you near the mansion after a long long, road, you see a light in the distance. It is the Baskerville Mansion.
Dr Watson, says, in a manner of speaking that he does not think this will be much trouble, even if the newspapers, are saying is this the first case Holmes can not solve.
But you are getting more and more concerned about the problems in this case, as in most cases you can get a good idea of what is happening, beforehand, but this time, a rarity, so many things do not add up, and so many things even to your great mind do not make sense,
But you arrive before the mansion, a large Gargoyle like structure, with greys and browns, and shadowy and eerie lights inside.
