It was most pro-equality, & for a long time most prosperous,
But misrule under elitist emperors, gradually turns to astonishing decline,
Even under Tang, elitism harmed society, less rampant than world-wide,
Lost its progressive edge, when rich landowners didn't have to pay much tax,
Aristocracies firmed unlike earlier, harmfully,
Progressives reduced,
Population ups reduced plot allotments, tax didn't,
Peasants refused doing military service,
Monarchy meant odd terrifying dynasty war,
