Las Casas del
Conde is a tiny village and municipality in Salamanca, western Spain, part of
the autonomous community of Castile - Leon. It is located 78 km's from the provincial
capital city of Salamanca and has a population of just seventy four people.
Las
Casas del Conde is located next to the Francia river, that born in the mountain
range with the same name, as all mountain river their waters are crystalline and
its channel runs between a vegetation integrated by alders, ashes etc: that tend
to look for a solar light reaching great altitude forming a tunnel around a river
which contributes in summer period to enjoy in its surroundings of a peace, only
disturbed by the noise the water.
The
municipality covers a area of 1.26 km squared. It lies 720 metres above sea level
normally.
